The
Mountain Laurel Inn, the original "Arbogast" house, is
a turn-of-the century Victorian completely renovated in
1996. Our elegant Bed and Breakfast is nestled in the scenic
highlands of the Allegheny Mountains in the charming, rural town
of Monterey, Virginia. Winding mountain roads lead you to
Highland County -- the least populated county in Virginia and one
of its most picturesque and serene.
Our Inn is the ideal
place to soothe the spirit, celebrate a special anniversary, share
a weekend with friends or escape to the peaceful charm of the
countryside, farmlands and mountains. There are four
spacious guest rooms all individually furnished with king, queen
or full beds
and private or shared baths. Our rates range from $85 - $125.
Your innkeeper, Pat
Adams, offers a full breakfast each morning featuring fresh-baked
breads and muffins, seasonal fruit and special daily
entrees. Catering is available for special events, meetings
and family celebrations.
Mountain hiking and
biking, trout fishing, caving, golf, horseback riding, bird
watching, swimming, hunting, skiing, shopping, Civil War
battlefields and other scenic and outdoor pursuits are all within
a short distance of the inn. We are 35 miles from The Homestead, 15
minutes from the border of West Virginia and only 40 miles from
Snowshoe Ski Resort.
Our Inn has been
inspected and approved by the Bed and Breakfast Association of
Virginia. |
